What We Do

AKAWI engages in Advocacy programs aimed at protecting and enforcing the rights of women and children.

AKAWI also champions projects aimed at advancing women participation in politics and nation building whilst promoting political literacy, economic empowerment and even shelters for abused women and children.

AKAWI  is actively interesting in fostering and promoting child education and weeding out child labour. We provide emergency assistance to children and families affected by disaster, abuse and conflict.

We partner with CSOs for long term solutions to poverty and we advocate for justice for indegent women, youths and children.

We liase with healthcare providers to provide better medical facilities to rural communities inorder to help eradicate maternal and child mortality.

AKAWI organises programs and projects aimed at empowering ophans, widows and youths in africa.

Honesty and responsibility are important to us which is why we maintain a culture of being straightforward with ourselves and our sponsors.

The fight for protection of the rights of women and is a global one and we are not afraid to ask for or give help.

COMPASSION

The need of women, children, and indeed youths, who do not have a voice are paramount to us because when the entire world seems to have turned its back, compassion can be a ray of hope to persons who have suffered abuse, violence, trafficking and other degrading misfortunes.

OUR PROJECTS

AKAWI provides humanitarian aid, access to free legal services for the indigent, aid to widows, orphans, shelter to abused women and children, campaign for education for ALL children irrespective of gender or economic status, free advocacy for rights of children and destitute women, relief materials to displaced persons and prisoners.
